I have a book, a Swedish edition but non the less, this book is famous!
I like to travel, no, I LOVE to travel. The whole experience, waiting in line to board your plane (well the line is boarding, but I’m sitting in the waiting seats still) after several hours on a sometimes tiny empty airport and, sometimes on a huge jampacked one. The excitement of getting in an overpacked car to hit the road even though you know you will spend hours in a car without aircon. Sitting on a buss and needing a bathroom but the line has been equally long since you got on. Packing is the best! Or the unpacking! Or living out of a backpack! Even sitting next to farting, snoring, burping, sleeping-pill-dead-asleep people from whose nationality I will not mention, (okay, German and South African!!) is after all travelling. I love to travel. For Christmas of 2008 my mum bought me a book. One called ‘1000 Places To See Before You Die’. The ultimate travel book of anyone who enjoys travelling, so I thought…
There are 196 countries in this word (depending on who you speak to), 122 are accounted for in this book, turns out I have been to 17, and no, I haven’t counted those where I had a flight transfer. I’ve been to a seventh of the countries in the book, which sounds promising!
However, it turns out that when it comes to the places to see, it got a lot more tricky, even though I’ve been in Norway and Finland many times, I apparently haven’t seen anything! So here are a few of the places I did see, places I now, can tick off....

โลกใบนี้มี 196 ประเทศ(นั่นก็ขึ้นอยู่กับว่าคุณกำลังพูดกับใคร)เพราะในหนังสือเล่มนี้บอกว่ามีแค่ 122ประเทศ ฉันเคยไปเที่ยวแล้ว 17 ประเทศและแน่นอนฉันไม่นับประเทศที่เป็นจุดพักเปลี่ยนเครื่องบินรวมด้วยหรอกนะ แต่ถ้านับประเทศตามหนังสือเล่มนี้แล้วฉันไปมาแล้ว 7 ประเทศ..ฟังดูดีไหมล่ะ..
แต่ว่าถ้ามานับกันถึงสถานที่ที่ฉันเคยไปเยี่ยมชมจริงๆมันอาจจะซับซ้อนกว่านั้นหน่อยเพราะถึงแม้ว่าฉันจะเคยไปนอร์เวย์กับฟินแลนด์มาหลายครั้งแล้วแต่ฉันก็ไม่ได้เที่ยวแบบจริงจัง

Not that I personally enjoy math, but it’s one of those good things to know… with this book in my lap I counted all the places I have been, and did some math:
Out of the 1000 places suggested, I have been to an amazingly little 47 (I’m not even going to mention how few I had been to in Sweden, it was shocking!) and since I’m xx years it would take me approximately until I am 534 years to have seen all the places I’m suppose to! So I’ll be blogging about my travelling for a while still, don’t you worry!
